KanjiLine Tengafuchin

This piece is influenced by Japanese calligraphy and street art. For its motif, several kanji characters are combined in a way that they overlap, and since each stroke stretches and shrinks freely, it is difficult to read all of the characters, Apart from its impressions as a painting, there is an intention to make the viewers infer what kind of story is written as a sentence, directing their eyes to the details. The materials used are gold ink for woodblock prints, acrylic paint, and aerosol spray. The frame is built with wood and is coated with a glossy black paint.

Kime Old Vase

The Kime Old Vase intended for the author to see the experiences of the author dying the time to death and the traces of that fact. He defined Kime that the labor consuming human death was visually appearing. Generally in Japan, Kime represents organic heterogeneous on the surface such as the skin of a tree or the human skin. In order to express Kime, he broke the existing vase and reconstruct it by Kintsugi, which is an adhesion act.

Intertidal Deployment Objects

Intertidal Deployment Objects collaborate with the marine environment to generate dynamic ceramic surfaces. The designers were excited to work with barnacles, as they are capable of creating uniquely complex and beautiful shells. The concept was to design a modular system of interchangeable ceramic forms that promote barnacle growth. Some sections were submerged into the ocean to grow marine life. Months later, after the barnacles had grown, these components were removed from the ocean and reassembled into completed pieces.

The Wings

The sculpture is designed especially for Regina Miracle International (Holdings) Ltd for their listing at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Inspired by the company’s signature bra technique - the Miracle Wing, the sculpture took the form of a pair of flying wings transformed from a bra. The wings' form represent freedom, confidence and elegance. It is made from stainless steel with perforated letter pattern taken out from the brand name Regina Miracle which is then bent and polished to form the magnificent sculpture piece.

Light Origami

Light Origami is an unique interactive art installation. Viewers are invited to explore the nature of reality by entering a giant 3D kaleidoscope. The domed structure is bathed in light and is constructed using over 330 mirror panels. Changing spectrums of light are projected within the space, and when mirrored against the mirror panels, the effect is like being inside a kaleidoscope. The interior space is spread eternal without edge of space. Light Origami creates a multidimensional experience that explores the relationship between the participant and space, between reflection and light.

Opx2

Opx2 is an optic installation that explores a symbiotic relationship between nature and technology. A relationship where patterns, repetition, and rhythm describe both natural formations and operations of computing processes. The installations reclusive geometry, momentary opacity and/or density are similar to the phenomenon of driving by a cornfield or explained in technology while looking at binary code. Opx2 builds complex geometry and challenges ones perception of volume and space.
